Magnetic designs cover the walls

July 27, 2010 - 2 Comments

Sometime back I showed examples of how we cover the walls with designs of upcoming areas of Cisco.com.

My particular implementation uses nylon fishing line, on which we hang (and can move) various designs. Another similar technique is to use metal curtain line, which stays straighter but otherwise leverages the same principle.

But our WebEx.com web team has an even more sophisticated approach to posting designs:

They painted the long wall with several coast of magnetic paint, covered it with a coat of color to match the other walls, let it dry, and then posted designs all over on the wall using small magnets. When a design is declared complete, they can quickly move it to the end of the wall without having to deal with tape or pins.

Here’s a picture of the team’s handiwork:

The WebEx team has more about the wall posted on their blog.

Enjoy!
