Cisco Team Members Embark on a Navy Adventure

April 27, 2012 - 2 Comments

Every year, a few individuals are selected by the Navy to partake in educational embarks and tours that display full capabilities of the Navy and Marine Corps at sea, in the air, and on land and increase awareness of the Navy’s mission.

We are pleased to say that our own subject matter expert (SME), Janet Lyons, was selected to participate in the Leaders to Sea Program. Next week, Janet will make the long journey from Florida to San Diego where she will be provided with insights into Navy day-to-day operations at sea and also take her first helicopter ride! Janet will be joined by other Cisco team members, including Karl Dalstad and Michael Godwin.

Cisco understands the importance of improved communications and collaboration for maritime personnel. This opportunity provides a first-hand insight into the tools used by the Navy to foster greater collaboration.

We will follow these SMEs as they continue through this exciting journey while helping them share their experiences with others by way of diverse social channels.

We wish everyone a safe trip, and stay tuned for post-embark updates!
