OpenFabrics Sonoma Workshop 2010

February 24, 2010 - 0 Comments

OpenFabrics Software logoThis has been posted elsewhere, but it’s worth mentioning here to both because iWarp and InfiniBand are popular HPC interconnects, and to get as wide an audience as possible: the OpenFabrics Association is hosting its annual workshop in Sonoma on March 14-17, 2010.

The theme of this year’s Sonoma Workshop is “Exascale to Enterprise.”  A preliminary agenda is available for your browsing pleasure.

Yes, I’ll be there.  Will you?

The “Early Bird” (read: cheaper!) registration deadline is February 28, 2010.

Additionally, Webex registration is available this year (provided by yours truly: Cisco!).  You can be connected to hear the talks and see the slides remotely (read: save travel costs).  You can buy webex registration for any day.  Truth be told, the real action of the OpenFabrics workshop is in the hallway and coffee break discussions, wheeling, and dealing — just like any conference.  You miss a lot if you’re not physically there.  But if you’re on a constrained travel budget, looking for an overview of topics, and/or you really only need to hear a few specific talks, the Webex registration is the way to go.

See the registration site for more details.
