I am not a big moviegoer, but one of fun parts of going to the movies for most people is seeing the previews of coming attractions. Everyone wants to see the exciting new movie trailers to help decide if they want to go. I also remember when I was a kid one the highlights in the summer break from school was to watch pilot TV episodes to get a preview into the new television series coming in the fall. Getting a preview is fun, but getting a preview can take on more importance when it is about your profession or career.

Most people have a natural desire to look around the corner to see what’s new and what’s coming – whether it is in technology, art, fashion, cars, business, careers, or music. Every profession has conferences, bloggers and webinars where communities of interest can learn about the latest information they need to stay up-to-date and relevant. As a further illustration of this, I was reading an online article about unusual conferences and events. One of the unusual conferences that was highlighted was  the Vent Haven International Ventriloquist ConVENTion. Clearly even ventriloquists need to stay current. With workshop titles such as “Extending the Life of Your Soft Puppet” and “Hard Figure Care and Repair,” I think this is a memorable example of how in any profession there are many opportunities for continuous learning so you can stay ahead of the other “dummies” (Sorry – I couldn’t stop myself).

As a member of the Partner Digital Transformation and Industries team, we also want you to sell more and differentiate yourself from your competitors. This is why we want to give you a preview of the upcoming schedule for the Partner Industry Webinar Series. We started this webinar series over a year ago as a bi-weekly event. It is now weekly and the audience keeps growing – we’ve had thousands of viewers and downloads.

Recently we changed the name of series (formerly the Digital Transformation Webinar Series) to better highlight that digital transformation is based on the needs of the customer and their industry. Though the name is a little different the guiding objective of the series is still the same: We want to empower salespeople to connect IT and Line of Business (LOB) buyers to grow the Cisco business in their accounts.

We empower you to sell more by coaching you to sell Cisco technology with an “industry lens.” We give you that “industry lens” for your sales conversations by sharing LOB buyers top of mind concerns, discussing industry trends, and guiding you to make the connection between IT and business outcomes. As we have in the past, we will also introduce you to new Independent Software, Hardware, and Digital System Integrator Partners who can help you accelerate business conversations with your customers.

That’s the teaser – now let’s look at the upcoming schedule.
