“Take risks—no one is going to die!”

This was just one piece of business wisdom we heard from Jeffrey Hayzlett, former Chief Marketing Officer at Kodak and author of the book Running the Gauntlet.

Jeffrey spoke at Partner Velocity, Cisco’s biggest partner marketing event of the year. We’ll share more words of wisdom, interviews, and tips we recently brought home from the event in this episode of Partner Update.

We’ll also cover a number of cloud-related stories, including cloud marketing resources, Light Reading’s Cloud Mega Test results, the Cloud Partner program, and how to ease cloud deployment of the Microsoft Private Cloud solutions. We’ve also got a host of new partner resources and templates, plus our Tweet of the Week.

2:52:  Partner Velocity: Talk About a Marketing Mash-Up!
Partner Velocity was a huge success, and we loved meeting with partners and understanding their social media needs. There was so much to cover, so we split our update into two parts: We cover part two in this episode of Partner Update. Be sure to also watch part one, which we filmed onsite in Vegas.

Missed Partner Velocity? Not to worry. We met with speakers to get tips and key takeaways from their presentations. We also chatted with industry analysts who gave us some perspective on partner marketing, Cisco’s VP of Partner Marketing Amanda Jobbins, and talked to Cisco partners who told us what key learnings they’d be implementing right away.

You can find all of the interviews on our YouTube channel. Look for the Partner Velocity link under the Partner tab. We’ll be adding videos over the coming weeks, including interviews with Velocity speakers and industry experts Chris Brogan, Jeffrey Hayzlett, Sally Hogshead, Peter Hinnson, and more. So be sure to check back.

And if you want to watch the full replays of all the speakers, head to the Partner Velocity site next week. The replays will be available in the Auditorium of the virtual environment.
