Raising Your Marketing Game

February 10, 2017 - 5 Comments

As an experienced marketer, I’m committed to investing in my professional development.  But I admit, when you are flat out at work, it’s hard to carve out the time.  Even when you do, you have to focus on priorities and not get caught up in the latest marketing fads. And then there’s the question of where to find quality content that explains new concepts in digestible terms.

Cisco has recognized these challenges and worked hard to bring the best e-learning together for partners.  Marketing
can be complex and time consuming.  As an alternative to attending full day conferences with related expenses, Cisco
Marketing Velocity brings everything you need to your mobile, tablet or desktop.

The key elements of the Marketing Velocity program are:

  • The Marketing Velocity Hub: Explore the best advice pulled from the web, Cisco and other industry experts. Read, watch, listen and learn, then use your new skills to develop campaigns to reach your customers. The best way to utilize this resource is to sign up to the notification service that sends you an email when new content is added.
  • Marketing eLearning: Enhance your marketing skills through online courses. Earn a certificate for each successfully completed quiz. The session on digital marketing, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay-per-Click, and Remarketing, is excellent.
  • Social Media resources: Use these to help you pull together and then implement all the elements of an integrated social media plan. For Partner Plus partners targeting midsized customers, the sample Social Media Tactical Plan template from Marketo is a good tool to help you prioritize activities.
  • On-the-Air webcasts : Get guidance from industry experts that you can apply to your own marketing programs. Joseph Jaffe’s session on Flip the Funnel: How to use existing customers to gain new ones, is full of thought-provoking content.

And for Partner Plus partner marketers, we will be running a Marketing Coffee Talk on February 16, 2017, led by our Marketing Velocity expert, Bryan Sherlock. He will discuss the basics of digital marketing, where to start, and how to build a digital marketing plan. Join us by registering here.

In an effort to keep conversations fresh, Cisco Blogs closes comments after 60 days. Please visit the Cisco Blogs hub page for the latest content.
