Focused on Streamlining the Partner Experience

- May 6, 2009 - 1 Comment

This week at the Partner Operations Advisory Board (POAB) meeting here in New Orleans, the hot topic on everyone’s lips — aside from beignets and frozen daiquiris — is streamlining the partner experience.Cisco has more than 200 tools coupled with programs and promotions that partners use on a regular basis, so many of the discussions at this event are focusing on our ease of doing business goals. Among the items on the agenda is a discussion of simplifying our go-to-market programs with Surinder Brar, Senior Director of Cisco’s Worldwide Channels. And Patty Hatter, Vice President of Business Operations, is leading a talk about partner-facing tools. We’ll be posting videos and interviews from the event soon, but in the meantime, please share your thoughts. POAB is a way for us to get partner feedback and move toward delivering a more simplified partner experience. For partners who are not able to attend POAB (and even those who are here) we want to hear your feedback in the comments. Don’t be shy! This is your chance to sound off and give us your valuable feedback so we can address your needs. Let us know:Does Cisco have too many partner tools? How can Cisco become easier to do business with? We’re listening…

In an effort to keep conversations fresh, Cisco Blogs closes comments after 60 days. Please visit the Cisco Blogs hub page for the latest content.

  1. Being in channel marketing for my company, I do sympathize with our partners who get bombarded by numerous marketing tools/messages/campaigns from different vendors. I would be very interested to find out more about how to consolidate and work closer with the partners and with alliance partners to streamline the engagement processes.
