Happy Holidays: The Best of 2011 in One Blog Post

Cisco Live
We attended Cisco Live where we talked to partners in the Cloud Partner Pavilion, learned about geeky gadgets, watched as John Chambers met with partners at the event, and even got a chance to see the famous William Shatner (aka, Captain Kirk) close out the event.

Partner Summit
There was no shortage of music at Cisco’s 15th annual Partner Summit where the focus was on architectures and cloud with new partner programs to increase profitability. We talked to so many partners who traveled to the event from around the globe and caught up with Cisco executives who gave us their key takeaways from the event.

Cisco Partner Velocity
Marketing is key to attracting and keeping customers. To ensure our partners are on the cutting edge, we held several global virtual Partner Velocity broadcasts throughout the year where we heard from leading industry experts who provided marketing best practices, insights on how to best reach and engage with customers, better ways to generate leads, and countless social media tips and tricks. 2012 may very well be the year of the cloud. This year, the Cisco Cloud Partner program launched with three tracks that map to three primary business models in the cloud marketplace: Cloud Builder, Cloud Provider, and Cloud Reseller. Plus the recent big news around CloudVerse means partners can offer an end-to-end customer solution.

We also heard a lot about the Cisco Virtualization Experience Infrastructure and how it delivers desktop virtualization with secure access to data, voice, and video for fixed and mobile devices.

From WebEx to Jabber to Cius, there’s no question that collaboration is hot — and partners have a great opportunity to take advantage of a growing market.
