CRN Announces 2015 Channel Chiefs

If you remember my blog from about this time last year, CRN announces its list of Channel Chiefs, and it’s quite an honor to be named to the list. According to CRN, the people named to their Channel Chiefs’ list head up the partner programs that we all depend on, and they do it with professionalism year in and year out.

I am again extremely honored to be one of the named Channel Chiefs this year. As always though, I really wanted to post today in order to make sure you were all aware of my five colleagues who were named this year. I can’t tell you how excited we are at Cisco to have six of our executives recognized by CRN, two years in a row.

I also wanted our partners to know that our executives don’t get recognized in this way without you. We have only put ourselves into a position where our executives win recognition because of the countless hours of work you have put in, and the incredible feedback you have provided us. Hearing from you about how Cisco is doing is the lifeblood that keeps our partner programs fresh and effective, so keep it coming.

Oh and one last thing, CRN also recognized us as one of the top 100 coolest cloud vendors and included us on the CRN Data Center 100 list for 2015 in the Infrastructure Providers Category. Pretty great news in a space where many people said we were out of our depth!

Wendy Bahr
Senior Vice President (SVP), Americas Partner Organization; Cisco Systems, Worldwide Partner Organization
Wendy Bahr  has led our Americas Partner Organization since 2012. Through a team of nearly 700 employees and more than 23,000 partners, Wendy is responsible for partner enablement, partner profitability and product and service sales growth with our partners in Cisco’s largest geographical region (United States, Canada, and Latin America) with annual revenues of more than $22 billion.

Steve Benvenuto
Senior Director, Business Development, Cisco Channel Partner Program
Steve Benvenuto leads a team responsible for the lifecycle of the Cisco Partner Ecosystem programs, which include the Cisco Channel Partner Program focused on Resale and Systems Integrators and the Solution Partner Program which focuses on ISV’s, technology partners and consultants. These programs establish and support the relationship between Cisco and the Partner Ecosystem including partner competencies, enablement, branding and profitability.

Julie Hens
Vice President, Worldwide Distribution Sales
A 15 year Cisco veteran, Julie Hens is responsible for all aspects of sales, marketing, operations and logistics in her current role as Vice President for the Worldwide Distribution Channel. The Worldwide Distribution organization remains one of the fastest growing segments of Cisco’s business. Julie is also passionate about leadership and provides mentorship through Cisco’s Executive Shadow program.

Edison Peres
Senior Vice President, Cloud and Managed Services Partner Organization
Those of you that read the Cisco Partner Blog are probably quite familiar with Edison as he often authors blogs on this page.  Edison leads the recruitment and enablement of an extensive worldwide cloud and managed services partner ecosystem, and is responsible for developing the go-to-market strategies, programs and field relationships to drive the adoption of Cisco’s cloud value proposition.

Raja Sundaram
VP, Worldwide Services Channels and Alliances
Raja Sundaram leads the Worldwide Services Partner Organization, which develops and executes strategies that enable Cisco and its partners to deliver business outcomes for customers while profitably growing and transforming services business in the world of hybrid IT, software and IoE solutions. Raja is responsible for Services Partner Go-to-Market Strategies, Programs, and Partner Development.

I simply cannot thank these executives enough for the spectacular work they do. Likewise, a big thank you goes out again to the partners for putting us in a position of success. I know Cisco Partner Summit 2015 is coming up in Montreal at the end of April. I can’t wait to see some of you again in person. For those of you that won’t be attending in person, I hope you take advantage of Virtual Partner Summit this year.

In the meantime, these little tidbits of information on our executives were just a teaser about each of them. Our resident partner blogger, David Durham, will be highlighting each of them a little more extensively this week, in order to include some more detail on what they are working on, and maybe have a little fun as well. Keep an eye out.
