Cisco Partner Weekly Rewind – August 15, 2014
Each week, we’ll highlight the most important Cisco partner news and stories, as well as point you to important, Cisco-related partner content you may have missed along the way. Here’s what you might have missed this week:
Off the Top
Arjun Lahiri was here this week to talk about Cisco compatible solutions. Arjun had some great insight on how all is being connected via the Internet of Everything (IoE) and how the need for business applications is increasing exponentially.
With the rising need for business applications, Cisco simply cannot produce all of the necessary applications on its own. That is where Cisco compatible solutions come into play.
Read what Arjun has to say about Cisco compatible solutions filling in those gaps. Be sure to let him know what you think!
I have mentioned several times how much I love working on the Partner Voices series. We focus on a lot of the cool solutions that our partners are putting into the marketplace, and it always makes for a more fun story.
In my post from this week, I talked to David Powell of TekLinks about their latest cloud-delivered electronic health record solution. Be sure to give it a read and give me your feedback in the comments section.
As you can see, the new name is up and running and we are now the Cisco Partner Blog. All of our associated assets will be changing as well. Our twitter handle will be @ciscopartners. You can find us on Facebook as Cisco Partners.
You should have no issues with past blogs or Facebook posts, but please let us know if you have any issues with the change!
CRN Top 100 Executive List
This week, CRN recognized “individual channel executives for continuing to change the way the channel does business while shaping their organization’s future.” Cisco was well represented by:
- John Chambers: category of “Most influential”
- Bruce Klein – category of “Sales Leaders”
- Nick Earle – category of “Innovators”
Join us in congratulating John, Bruce and Nick!
Next week I will be in San Antonio attending XChange 2014. XChange is a conference that brings together solution provider decision makers from across the United States and Canada.
Be sure to watch the Cisco Partner Blog next week for updates from me while I am out in Texas, and feel free to give me tips on where to find the best brisket!
