Cisco Partner Summit 2016 Day 1: Powered by Partnerships

- March 1, 2016 - 0 Comments

Cisco’s Partner Summit tradition began more than 15 years ago with the intent of solidifying relationships, driving business growth, and celebrating joint successes with our global partners. With more than 2,000 partners from 85 countries, and 3,000 watching on VPS, the 2016 event theme “Powered by Partnerships” rang true at every turn.

The announcements on stage today show partners how to capitalize on the evolving digital opportunity.

Wendy also announced our digital marketing suite Engage demonstrating our commitment aligning sales and marketing .

Here’s what the attendees had to say about the day.

Here are the common themes from our executives and customers that rose to the top:

Digitization is Reshaping Every Industry

Digital transformation or ‘digitization’ is the most important differentiator across all industries. According to Chuck, countries, cities and companies around the world that are willing to embrace the transition now, despite tough economic conditions and environments, will distinguish themselves from the competition.

How has Under Armour, a sports apparel company, become a global brand?  At the Americas session, Gerald Charles, the vice president of global IT and operations for Under Armour, said they are thriving because they’re at the forefront of innovation and digitization.

Lightning Pace is Not Fast Enough

To survive, businesses have to digitize and partner with the industry leaders. Embedding digital capabilities within an organization involves more than cobbling together . Companies themselves must become digital engines.

Cisco’s Commitment to its Partners Has Never Been Stronger

Our future is powered by the mutual trust and respect that is foundational to everything we do together.
