Cisco Partner Ecosystem Supports Cisco Live US
As we close another fantastic Cisco Live week in San Diego, showcasing the latest solution developments from Cisco and our Partners, I can’t help thinking about the amazing journey we’ve experienced with our partners during Cisco’s 30 years. Today, more than ever before, our ability to collaborate effectively with all partner types to deliver business outcomes to our customers is simply mission critical.
Cisco established itself as a market leader when we helped to build the internet. Now, what’s tremendously exciting to me is that we’re at the forefront once again – as we drive to digitize everything – via the Internet of Everything (IoE). Here’s even better news – the Cisco Partner Ecosystem has grown in breadth, depth and connectedness to help Cisco make the Internet of Everything come to life with Cisco.
Cisco Live really brought all of this to life for me – the journey and our collective readiness.
Our Technology Partners, Global Systems Integrators, Solution Partners, and ISVs were an integral part of the entire show – demonstrating leading edge thinking and transformative outcome-driven solutions.
In the ‘World of Solutions’ and adjacent Partner Village, thousands of attendees explored horizontal and vertical solutions and gained insights from more than 250 Cisco Ecosystem Partners. The feedback from the people I spoke to there was fantastic, particularly about the ingenuity and diversity of the solutions on display. I also heard very clearly that the demonstrations were much more business outcome centric versus technology centric – a big change from just a few years ago.
Cisco has always encouraged and supported developers by offering the DevNet Zone to provide the tools, resources and code needed to build innovative, network-enabled solutions. This year it was like a beehive – packed and buzzing with activity.
The Intercloud day was a huge success, and we were delighted to announce the Intercloud Marketplace (available in Fall 2015) – a global storefront for apps and services, and a platform for innovation and e-commerce. We also announced our partnership with 35 ISVs to help our customers capture the opportunities presented by IoE.
Five true-to-life IoE connected experiences – Factory, Health, Learning, Banking, and Community – truly captured and demonstrated the transformative potential of digitization. Customers can solve their biggest challenges with solutions developed collaboratively by Cisco and our Partners.
As I stated in my fireside chat earlier today, “It takes a village to deliver business outcomes” – and as a member of the Cisco Partner Ecosystem, you don’t have to go it alone – you can collaborate with other Cisco partners to bring your unique value to bear in solving our customer’s most important business problems.
Partners have helped Cisco get where we are today – my sincere thanks. As John and Chuck challenged us during the opening keynote – Are we ready? Are we being bold enough? I am feeling pretty optimistic based on Cisco Live and the way our partner ecosystem “showed up” with Cisco. We are ready!Tags:
