And the Winners Are…Global Awards Recognize Cisco Partners

- May 14, 2010 - 1 Comment

Partner Summit 2010 was a week of non-stop action, from live video chats to keynotes from Chairman and CEO John Chambers and CTO Padmasree Warrior, as well as a surprise guest speaker who shared secrets for success. As we continue our post-event coverage, one of the most important highlights is the Global Awards Celebration, where the top global and theater channel partners are feted. This year’s honorees formed a diverse group that included ECCOM, the Collaboration Partner of the Year, and D&H Distributing, the Global Distribution Partner of the Year.

In between bites of hors d’oeuvres, we caught up with some of the winners. We asked them to reflect on what it means to win the award and how they are integrating some of the themes of Partner Summit: collaboration, virtualization, and Borderless Networks.

At the celebration, the honorees got the opportunity to meet with executives like Rob Lloyd, EVP of WW Operations, and John Chambers. As Keith Goodwin, SVP of WW Partners, noted during Partner Summit, Cisco is committed to helping partners focus on growth and profitability. And, as the top global performers demonstrated in 2009, it’s definitely possible–and certainly profitable–to transition from navigating in the economic downturn to accelerating growth in the upturn.

Congratulations to all of the award winners!

  1. Congrats to all of the winners. Key points: investing through the downturn; having an enterprise vision and driving architectures; not losing sight of partner profitability; and key technologies to invest in: virtualization and business video.
