A Thank You to Partners and a Look Back at Cisco’s Fiscal Year
This summer was an epic moment for Cisco with the changing of its leadership. We celebrated our successful history and look forward to our future with excitement and promise. With that in mind, I wanted to take a moment and celebrate this past year. I’ll be brief, since I know many of you might be heading out on vacation and looking to spend some time with friends and family.
Mostly, I wanted to say thank you. I always try to point out how Cisco’s success hinges on the action of its partners. Without your hard work and dedication and feedback on our programs and promotions, none of this works as smoothly as it does. Please do continue to let me know how you think we’re doing, where we can improve and what questions I can answer for you. You can always comment on my blogs and I’ll do my best to respond as soon as possible.
I cherish the time I get to spend speaking with you at events like Partner Summit and Marketing Velocity, but even more important is the time you spend reading my blogs and reaching out to me with your questions and comments. Just in this past fiscal year alone, we have covered a lot of ground.
Back in the early fall of 2014 I wrapped up my series on the marketing superheroes we introduced at Marketing Velocity 2014. I’m thrilled this series was so well-received by you and you had some great insight as well. I hope you’re still working to identify the folks in your organizations that fit these superhero ideals. If not, you should be recruiting those people into your companies. Don’t let the opportunity pass you by.
As we mention at all our recent events, the pace of change simply continues to increase. You can’t sit idle. Make sure you put the right people in the right roles to gain and maintain a competitive advantage.
The Cisco Partner Ecosystem continues to show how our partners make all the difference, and that is why we won’t stop talking about it. In fact, I covered several different angles on the Cisco Partner Ecosystem this past fiscal year.
Specifically, I took a look at the Cisco Partner Ecosystem in the midmarket back in November. I followed that up in December with some information on our Partner Plus Program within the Ecosystem. I welcomed some great comments from you in March on my follow up piece on the marketing specific aspect of the Cisco Partner Ecosystem.
If you didn’t have a chance to read these blogs, I hope you can find the time to check them out now. These blogs are especially great for those of you in the midmarket space. It’s not just enterprise that powers the Cisco Partner Ecosystem after all.
Finally, just in case you missed it, a little more than a month ago, I had the honor of recognizing 10 wonderful women at Cisco, who along with myself, were honored by CRN as the Women of the Channel for 2015. This is one of the best aspects of my job. As much as I appreciate you as partners to Cisco, I equally appreciate the work of such great colleagues. If you missed my blog in June, please congratulate my fellow winners. These ladies really do wonderful work here at Cisco.
I hope you’ve had a great year with us as a Cisco partner. I also hope you’re having a great summer so far and finding some time to recharge before we go full steam through fiscal year 2016! Let me know what’s on your mind in the comments section.Tags:
