Working Mother Magazine: Cisco Top Place For Working Mothers

September 26, 2007 - 4 Comments

We were all happy to hear that Working Mother magazine named Cisco as one of the Top 100 employers for working mothers. Cisco prides itself on taking care of its employees and taking care of new moms, “experienced” moms and moms in between is important not only to the moms at Cisco, but the dads, the cousins, the uncles, the aunts, the brothers, the sisters, the grandparents, the friends…and more. After all, all of our extended Cisco families care about those little kids and big kids at Cisco. You can view a bit of what Working Mother recognized us for here. With this recognition, we thought it would be good to film some working mothers at Cisco talking about what it’s like to work at Cisco. Please watch these four moms talk about work/life balance, Cisco day care, mother’s lounges, and more.

  1. I liked the video. And I want to say that mom friendly working enviroinment we have in Cisco, is very good not only when you have small children or babies. I do have 2 boys: 11 and 9, and having the time flexibility to attend the honors assembly in the school in the middle of the morning , or the theatre presentation one afternoon, or even have the opportunity to volunteer in the school once in a while, without egging"" a permission is a blessing."

  2. What a great opportunities for those moms...congratulations!. I am just hope as one of working women that work in national research centers, some day I can enjoy that same kind condition. No day care center at my campus area.It seems that no body think its important....even though thre are many working moms like me.Well....what should I do?

  3. I am just happy to not be alone in trying to juggle it all. Between two dogs, two small children, a marriage I treasure and a big job, I appreciate my informal support network.

  4. Fantastic snapshot of the culture and supportive network Cisco offers working parents. The services, choices and technology Cisco offers gives us tremendous flexibility. Since alance"" never truly exists as a working parent - this flexibility is really the reason we can be GREAT parents and great employees. Thanks for sharing!"
