VIDEO: Cisco@25: Account Manager Kevin Clinnin on Cisco Culture

As the 25th anniversary video blog series continues, the next Cisco employee with a great story to tell is Kevin Clinnin, Account Manager, Commercial Vertical Sales.  And, as he modestly forgets to mention, he is a Cisco Chairman’s Club Winner for 2007, 2008 and 2009. The Cisco Chairman’s Club is the highest recognition of an individual’s sales achievements and contributions to Cisco’s goals and culture. John Chambers hosts Chairman’s Club winners every year to interact with their peers and Cisco’s top executives and reward the winners for all of their hard work.

During Kevin’s past ten years working for Cisco his most memorable and exciting experience happened to be at Chairman’s Club 2008 in Hawaii when a large brush fire had broken out due to 50 mph winds and destroyed about 1,000 acres in its path and was heading for the resort where everyone was.  The island was eventually ordered to be evacuated and Kevin says that Chambers waited until every single Cisco employee and family member got on the boat and was ensured that everyone was on board safely before he boarded the last boat.
