Together: The Evolution of Cisco’s Brand Campaign

September 23, 2010 - 2 Comments

Cisco’s “Welcome to the human network” brand campaign has been around since 2006. Today, we’ve launched an evolution to the brand with a new slogan, “Together we are the human network.” Although a subtle variation in wording, the message is impactful.  If you think about how people around the world are looking for and moving toward more authentic human interactions, video plays a significant role in bringing these human connections together. To emphasize the importance of this cultural shift, Cisco is evolving its brand campaign to express a broader, more human vision of what the network can offer—a richer, deeper experience of being together. Here’s the first of a series of new TV ads you can expect to see as part of the new brand campaign.

To celebrate and recognize the evolution of our brand campaign, we’ve changed the skins to our Cisco Facebook page, Twitter community and the new Social Media aggregation site for a limited time. Check periodically on our Cisco homepage  for new videos and let us know what you think of this one.

  1. I just wanted to take a second to point out that the brand campaign is a timely reflection of our brand. It is a place in tatime to acknowledge what is happening in the world, in society and people’s mentality. While it inadverdently addresses specific industries/verticals, the overall message and common theme reflects our long standing brand vision: Cisco brings people together (to change the way we work, live, play and learn).
“together we are the human network”, as Autumn points out, addresses our (general people) desire for authenticity and real connection in a time where we are hard hit financially, economic systems are in trouble, governments are mistrusted and big businesses are even more untrustworthy.

  2. congratulation cisco for your new brand campaign…i’m interested to check the change from my facebook account 🙂
