1.)  Cisco Opens New Green Data Center in Allen, Texas

Cisco today announced a new green data center in Allen, Texas, with an architecture that deploys Cisco’s entire data center technology portfolio — computing, switching and data storage access — to support Cisco’s internal private cloud and deliver IT as a service. 2.) Rock ‘n’ Roll Goes Digital in Search of New Business Models

Musicians are increasingly relying on digital platforms such as audio streaming and social media to connect with their fans and create new revenue streams. How are you seeing musicians using social media?

3.) CRS-3 Carrier Routing System Advances Next Internet

Cisco today announced that just one year after it was introduced, the industry-leading Cisco CRS-3 Carrier Routing System is being adopted faster than the original CRS-1 platform, with 80 customers in more than 30 countries. Further, Cisco is announcing new capabilities on the CRS-3 platform that will expand its addressable market while reducing the cost for service providers to deliver packet-transport services. Check out this blog post to read more about the CRS-3’s first birthday!

4.) Cisco and Verizon Work Together to Enable Collaboration in the Cloud

Earlier this week Cisco and Verizon hosted the “Collaboration to the Cloud” discussion over TelePresence and WebEx with journalists and analysts. The companies explained their vision for collaboration in the cloud and shared details on their partnership to offer Unified Communications and Collaboration services.
