Join Cisco in March of Dimes Campaign

February 23, 2011 - 2 Comments

Giving back to the communities in which we live is core to who Cisco is as a company.  Last year, Cisco raised $310,812 for the South Bay Chapter of The March of Dimes under the chairpersonship of Sheila Jordan, our vice president of Information Technology. Cisco takes corporate social responsibility very seriously and we’re especially proud to be one of the top local supporters of March of Dimes. It is, after all, about providing the means to see life flourish, despite significant challenges associated with premature birth.

As a mother of two, and a manager of a team that has welcomed has welcomed 16 babies into the world (and one on the way!) during my time at Cisco, I’m proud to take over the mantle of chairperson for the 2011 campaign. I’m committed to surpassing last year’s total between now and April 30th and I hope you’ll join me. I invite you to donate here, or register to walk with us on April 30th at Vasona Park in Los Gatos, CA (or join another March near you). As a March for Babies walker you can raise money to support this important cause.  Every dime matters to the quality of life for a premature baby.

As part of the March of Babies effort, we held our internal campaign kickoff at Cisco headquarters in San Jose this past Monday….
