How is the Data Center Evolving to Meet the Needs of the New Mobile Workforce?

December 5, 2010 - 0 Comments

Part I of the Cisco Connected World Report, released in October, revealed that workers desire flexible access to corporate information from any mobile device at anytime. Part II, released in November, revealed disconnects in expectation and policies between IT and workers. On Wednesday, December 8 at 8:00 a.m. PT, Cisco will host a live Internet TV broadcast and Q&A session to announce key findings from Part III of its Connected World Report.

The latest survey results examine how IT managers are evolving their data centers, taking advantage of new technologies and trends, while working to accommodate trends such as social media, video, and increasingly mobile workers with flexible schedules.

Among the questions that will be answered during the live session:

  • What are the top data center trends, concerns and priorities worldwide?
  • What do IT professionals predict for the adoption of public and private clouds?
  • Which countries are adopting virtualization at the fastest rate; what are the top reasons and biggest barriers to adopting virtualization?
The show will feature a panel of special guests, including:

    • John Manville, vice president of IT, Cisco
    • Jackie Ross, vice president, Server Access and Virtualization Group, Cisco
    • Brian Modoff, managing director and senior telecommunications technology analyst, Deutsche Bank

To watch: Go to just before 8:00 a.m. PT on Wednesday, December 8.
