Cisco Powers NASDAQ Marquee in Times Square, Rings Closing Bell
April 1st was a big day for us. No joke! Cisco unveiled the new digital marquee at the NASDAQ MarketSite in the heart of New York’s Time Square and we rang the closing bell in celebration of the big day. The new marquee is powered by Cisco’s Digital Signage and is helping NASDAQ simplify the management and distribution of HD and on-demand video, motion graphics and other digital content.
Check out some of the footage from our afternoon at the MarketSite. It was an exciting day!
The gang in Times Square in front of NASDAQ Marquee…now powered by Cisco Digital Signage.

You know that you have made it when you are standing in times square, and look up to see your massive marquee dwarfing the rest.

That was the most amount of people that I have seen on the floor ringing the bell in years. Cisco is always making headlines at the nasdaq and the fact that they run the visuals now really puts them as the tech bellweather (sorry IBM and Intel) CSCO is poised to move higher (no pun intended)

Rusty: Amazing what the future holds for billboards and electronic signage in High Definition.""Yes. I was thinking the same thing. Can you imagine a whole slew of these kinds of billboards strewn across the country! As if we don't already have too many distractions causing accidents on our highways. If they're smart, they'll limit the number of locations where these things can be placed. And we haven't even gotten into the amount of energy these things will eat up."

The images are stunning. I wonder how much it costs to run an ad there for a month. I've heard it can be as much as 50K per month.

Very impressive. Definitely is amazing what the next 5-10 years bring to digital billboards.

This new NASDAQ Marquee looks really great. And it is so clear to read, even through the video. Cisco and NASDAQ make a nice couple.

Wow that is great. The new digital marquee looks great and so does the whole gang in front of it! Not like Cisco really needs more visibility, but advertising like that doesn't come around every day.

Amazing what the future holds for billboards and electronic signage in High Definition.Cisco has always been a tremendously innovative company. These signs work well for urban environments but one could get kind of distracted seeing a Big Mac in High Def on the expressway.

Very impressive, the definition and contrast look fantastic given the daylight.
