The Cisco TelePresence Technology Group made its public debut last week at InfoComm 2010 in Las Vegas to a very warm reception from over 32,000 AV professionals attending from more than 90 countries. Marthin De Beer, SVP of Cisco’s Emerging Technology Group, delivered the Keynote to officially kick off the event. During the Keynote, he discussed how video is transforming the way we communicate, collaborate and manage business today, and he delivered a very impressive demonstration of Cisco TelePresene interoperability and the Cisco Pulse application.

Cisco also made some very important product announcements at InfoComm 2010: the biggest is that Cisco is fulfilling commitments to deliver immersive, multiscreen interoperability between Cisco and Tandberg TelePresence systems, and with other third-party systems, by integrating the Telepresence Interoperability Protocol (TIP) on Cisco’s newly acquired Tandberg TelePresence Server. This interoperability solution, which will be commercially available in late July, helps enable multi-screen, high-definition video collaboration between all major telepresence vendors. What’s most impressive is that the announcement comes just weeks after the close of Cisco’s Tandberg acquisition.
You can read more about Cisco’s product announcements in the official press release and watch the below video demonstration from the InfoComm 2010 show floor of a Cisco TelePresence system calling a TANDBERG T3 and an EX90 personal TelePresence system, with multiscreen continuous presence enabled through TIP.
