Cisco Helps Small Businesses Gain a Competitive Advantage

September 15, 2009 - 3 Comments

Small businesses have a tremendous impact on communities around the world and the global economy. In fact, small businesses make up 40 percent of the entire global workforce. In the U.S. alone, more than 99 percent of all employers are small businesses.

To help small businesses position their business for success and gain a competitive advantage, Cisco today announced new security and collaboration technology and also extended zero percent financing to help small companies purchase technology.

In the video below, Ian Pennell, Cisco’s Co-Chair of the Small Business Council, describes how small businesses can use technology to run their business better – to help differentiate their business, improve customer service and ultimately rethink their business.

  1. It's great of you to help out small companies, especially given the current state of the economy. It should hopefully really stimulate the economy and get things moving again. *fingers crossed*I'm especially thankful as I may be starting my own small business soon and its great that you people at Cisco are there to help.

  2. Its fantastic to see you releasing more security and technology which support smaller companies aswell as the larger corporates. As a small company ourselves its good to know we are not being overlooked because of larger fish out there!Joe

  3. I know that Youtube videos have become indispensable for businesses and bloggers, but for some reason, actually seeing the person devalues the information in my mind. I don't mind reading or listening to strategies, but I just can't watch someone explain in a video while looking at me.That being said, I watched with my eye closed ;)
