Cisco CEO at CES: “Stay tuned for more from Cisco in the consumer space”

January 8, 2010 - 2 Comments

Cisco Chairman and CEO John Chambers with some reflections on Cisco in the consumer space and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Chambers says, “Video is at the front of what we’re seeing at the show.”  He says there are over 15 BILLION devices being connected to the network…which, I might add, Cisco knows a little something about.

More on what we announced at CES here.

  1. I've worked on several emergency management projects, all of them involving establishing interfaces between work locations. (For example, the recovery efforts by the State of California and FEMA after the Bay Area Earthquake in the late 80's)During those experiences, networking formed the backbone of our remedial systems. Cisco was called upon to assist us with several of those projects.Their people were terrific, clearly the sharpest of the networking consultants we had worked with over time. And, when it was possible, we always returned to Cisco for assistance.Having the future of communication in the hands of people like Cisco hires gives me a great sense of confidence that the Earth's population, especially in the US, will enjoy, over time, up to date cutting edge communication interfaces.

  2. Okey, I`m waiting.P.S: Sorry, I`m Bulgarian so i don`t speak english.
