Anittel Paves the way for Tasmanian State Government’s Collaboration Journey

Late last month Anittel, one of our key partners in Australia, announced that they secured a contract with the Tasmanian State Government to provide managed IP voice services to the Apple Isle’s public servants with Cisco Unified Communications.

In a significant win for Anittel, the five year contract has a minimum value of AUD$7M and if the full contract extension options are undertaken that value could extend to AUD$45M. Key factors that contributed to the win include Anittel’s deep knowledge and experience of the Tasmanian market as well as demonstration of the differentiated benefits hosted UC will deliver such as cost efficiency and integrated communications.

Anittel’s Chief Technology Officer, Steven Crockett commented that, “Cisco’s end-to-end portfolio of infrastructure offerings perfectly suit our IT and telecommunications business.  As the clear market leader in enterprise IP voice systems, Cisco was a natural choice for our business and our voice services.  We are very excited about the capabilities of our platform and product roadmap, and believe that this win cements Anittel as a voice services partner of choice in the enterprise space.”

Cisco is excited to work with Anittel on helping to enable the Tasmanian Government to achieve its vision of creating a more efficient government and transform delivery of services to Tasmania’s public service community.
