A Pitch, a Hit and a Homerun – Interop Las Vegas 2010
This year, Interop Las Vegas reminded me of a baseball game where all the bases are loaded and the customers are just waiting for the right pitch (a full-fledged economic recovery?) to take a swing and drive home a grand slam.
We are in the seventh inning stretch in the World Series of the Networks and Cisco definitely pitched a no hitter at Interop with an all star line-up: Borderless Networks, Collaboration, and DC/Virtualization loading the bases. The team walked away from the show with the winning home run – the Best of Interop Award for Wireless & Mobility
Whether you are enjoying a baseball game, or walking the main floor of Interop, one thing is certain, it’s all about anywhere, anytime, anything connectivity – in essence being a part of Borderless Networks. And to add to this concept of Borderless is a major wireless innovation from Cisco: CleanAir Technology. CleanAir Technology delivers new Spectrum Intelligence Technology that tackles the challenge of RF interference, transforming wireless access into a dependable, mission-critical resource for your business.
Millennial applications are changing life as we know it. The next- generation workplace may have no borders and to attract the best talent, businesses may have to comply with an individual’s choice of location, device, and application. At the foundation of this movement is the ability of the IP network to keep it all seamlessly connected and secure. The success of this depends on the ability to change the way we manage, secure, scale and govern networks – a concept we call Borderless Networks.
Borderless Networks is a game changer, for sure. And for businesses that are keeping their eye on the ball, the next-generation mobile, secure IT infrastructure is what can help them knock it out of the park.
