I Am the WORLD’s Most Interesting Intern: World Edition

July 14, 2010 - 20 Comments

Let’s be honest. To qualify as “The WORLD’s Most Interesting Intern,” one must have global appeal. Thanks to our friends in the Cisco Enterprise Translation Services Group, my lyrical genius can now be appreciated in 15 different languages (i.e. Czech, German, Spanish (EU and LA), French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, English, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese, and Chinese).

Considering the reality that only 20-25% of the world’s population speaks English, it would be silly to limit the consumption of my greatness to a subset of the global population. Thus: to enjoy subtitles in the language of your choice:

1. PRESS PLAY, then hover your mouse over the arrow in the bottom right corner 2. Hover over the CC arrow 3. Select your language! (And yes, it is ironic that these directions are only available in English…)

I eagerly await the first non-English intern video response! Please post it as a reply on Youtube and/or in the comments section of this blog. As always, you can follow me on Twitter @gregjustice and at blogs.cisco.com. Thank you…or should I say: Danke! Merci! ありがとう! Grazie! Gracias! спасибо!

Note: though foreign text may not always display correctly in the blog, all comments (no matter the language) are sent to my email in a perfectly readable fashion. Thus, please keep the comments (in all languages) coming! Cool.

  18. I think that the closed captioning in foreign languages is an awesome perk. I wish you would have explained how your friends in the Cisco Enterprise Translation Services Group played the part. Was this just a favor they did for you manually or was this some kind of new automated technology being used?

  19. Good idea! Hopefully you'll get some responses from countries of all those languages, that would be cool! Did you you see this response to one of your videos yet? It's pretty good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3y23YxMUdbM
