Love What You Do

“Love what you do, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” There’s scholarly discussion about how to attribute that quote, but I am sure that I know who LIVES that quote, and that’s me and my team and my colleagues and Cisco employees around the globe.

How do I know this? Because today Cisco launches the 3rd Annual #WeAreCisco #LoveWhereYouWork contest for employees. Having seen the entries from the previous two years, I can tell you that we are a bunch of wacky, nerdy, wonderful Cisconians who wear our love for Cisco on our sleeves (and our shirts, and our scarves, and hats and coffee mugs – we love the Cisco logo!)

This blog is full of these stories. How we love the flexibility Cisco offers. How we love the culture of giving back. How we love connecting with Cisco technology. How we love our colleagues and our teams, and how we love that Our People Deal (that’s our employee value proposition if you’re new to this blog) puts employees at the heart of everything we do.

Don’t believe me? That’s okay. I know trust is earned, so see for yourself! If you follow the #WeAreCisco hashtag on Twitter and the #WeAreCisco hashtag on Instagram, you’ll see all of the contest entries starting today with some amazing images that employees are sharing that show the moments that matter to them at Cisco. With global colleagues, not everyone can enter on these two social platforms (or maybe they are shy, that’s okay too!) So this year, thanks to some tech-savvy teammates, employees can also enter using our Cisco Spark technology.

If you’re reading this, and you’re an employee, make sure you head to our internal-only Jive site to see the rules, the (awesome) prizes and the how’s and whys.

Below are some of our favorite images from years past. If you’re an employee, you now see how you can up your contest-entry game!

If you WANT to be an employee after seeing these images, great! We have a way for you to do that! Head over to our Careers page and apply for open opportunities that match your skills and goals.
