Las Vegas is hotter than ever. Yesterday marked the kick off of one of the sports and entertainment preeminent forums for making innovation real – S.E.A.T Conference 2016! This year, over 1,000 executives and industry influencers worldwide have come together to explore opportunities for technology to transform the fan experience and their business, discussing topics such as mobility, analytics, digitization, and more! We like to say innovation starts with insights and SEAT is a great opportunity to hear from industry leaders, share best practices, and discover innovative technologies that help enable new business models and contribute to competitive advantage.

Ironically, just last week, I attended Cisco Live Las Vegas, with over 28,000 IT, networking and communications professionals thinking about these same opportunities across all aspects of the public sector and private industry. One key theme that came up consistently during the show is how businesses need to begin their digital journey to enhance the customer experience and drive business growth in order to succeed. Everyone is trying to figure out where the next Airbnb, Uber, or Amazon comes from, and what technology is driving the digital transformation in order to capture the new business opportunities.

At the SEAT Conference, I had the privilege to co-host the “T-Mobile Arena – The Las Vegas Experience” technology tour and reception with industry leaders from MGM Resorts International, AEG and more. Attendees had the opportunity to experience first hand how digital experiences are being embraced to transform the guest experience and create new monetization opportunities for their business.
