Cisco Live 2011 : VCE will deliver !

July 10, 2011 - 0 Comments

Today VCE Aaron Delp join us to talk about VCE participation to Cisco Live – Fruit of the close collaboration between VMware, Cisco and EMC, VCE has been instrumental over the past year  in helping a growing number of IT organizations  to migrate to virtualization and cloud through an integrated approach .

Aaron is currently working as a Senior Manager in the Solutions and Enablement organization at VCE.  In his current role, he leads a team to develop and optimize VCE Solutions on the Vblock platform.  Aaron has over 15 years of experience in the Technology industry and currently specializes in converged infrastructures and private cloud architectures. Before joining VCE, Aaron was a Data Center Practice Lead for a leading Cisco reseller, ePlus Technology and was also employed by IBM for 10 years supporting customers, business partners, and distributors.Aaron is currently a VMware vExpert and VCP in addition to a number of storage industry certifications.  He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Clemson University.

“It’s that time of the year, conferences, conferences, conferences…  Right now VCE is geared up for Cisco Live! 2011. Here are some highlights of the things we’re excited to be showcasing:

  • Kunjal Trivedi, Director of SP Solutions will be delivering Technical Breakout Session (BRKPCS-1183) on 7/13 @ 4pm – “What Enterprises Should Seek in a Trusted SP Outsource Partner: The Benefits of Vblock Infrastructure Platforms and Cisco’s Unified Service Delivery Framework”
  • In the VCE Booth (#1571) we’ll have lots of experts ready to speak with you about:
    • Solutions Optimized for Vblock – VCE has taken the time to document many popular solutions for optimal configuration in a Vblock environment.  Today we offer VMware VDI, Microsoft Exchange, SAP, Trusted Multi-Tenancy, and soon to be released Cisco UC and Cisco HCS on Vblock.  More information on each of the solutions, including many others, can be found in this excellent article by Jeramiah Dooley.
    • Orchestration and Automation Solutions – Speak to a VCE vArchitect about the latest integration with newScale and Tidal Software by Cisco.
    • Complete System Integration – The more time I spend with the Vblock, the more I appreciate the little things that go into it.  The level of engineering and thought is simply amazing.  This is much more than dumping a bunch of gear in a rack, cabling it up, and giving it a green light.  Time is taken to make sure all of the environmental aspects are taken into account in addition to the technical details.  How many times have you had power or heat issues because it was taken for granted, or not considered at all?  There’s no more worrying about the right amount of SFP’s, the lengths of the cables, or did we get the right PDU’s.
    • Seamless Support – This was a huge issue when I sold and installed “stacks” prior to VCE.  If you tell a customer that they can have all of their support on the same terms with the same contract length as well as a single number to call for everything in the Vblock, it practically sells itself.
    • Partner Programs – If you are a VCE Partner, ask about the newly released partner programs.  We now offer field assistance, training programs, competitive intelligence as well as configuration and delivery support to match your requirements.

    • At VCE It’s all about going from this

    • to this
    • As you can see, there’s something for everyone from VCE at Cisco Live! , we hope to see you there!  ”  Aaron
