WebEx and TelePresence – Better Together

April 10, 2013 - 3 Comments

At Enterprise Connect I was delighted to see the excitement generated by Cisco’s announcement that brings together our market leading Cisco WebEx and TelePresence  solutions.  Recently I discussed this initiative in more detail with a colleague, Richard Mullen, looking at how TelePresence and WebEx working together supports our vision of pervasive conferencing and enables users to meet with anyone, anywhere, on any device.

In particular, I highlight three key factors in a successful meeting — booking a meeting, joining a meeting, and sharing video and content —  and outline how users can expect a seamless and familiar experience, regardless of whether they choose to join a conference using WebEx or TelePresence.

  1. I’ve heard this pitch for 2 years now. Ill believe it when I see it. In the mean time they are behind in comparison to some of the new startups that are out there. The only leg up is most of us already are Cisco centric.

  2. Great news! The best web conferencing solution with the best video conferencing solution.

  3. It will be an enhancement. I feel that the laptops/assets needs to be updated for hardware requiremnts to be satisfied. Lenovo T420 will be the minimum available model for this.
