Online Meetings Made Easier

- April 28, 2009 - 0 Comments

There are many times in our lives when joining a meeting runs up against a glitch. You might be stuck at the airport or unable to find a connection in that hotel basement conference room. Maybe you ran into traffic and are at a standstill on the freeway when you’d hoped to be at the client meeting. I’ve found a quick and easy remedy for these types of situations.Imagine (or maybe it’s a reality) that you’re on a business trip. You have your laptop with you, and it’s time for a meeting. Taking out the laptop, looking for a Wi-Fi network, and getting connected to join the meeting is a hassle. With an iPhone, you can be connected literally anywhere with 3G or Wi-Fi access with just a couple of clicks. It saves you time and it’s just far more convenient when you are joining a meeting while you are mobile.Or maybe you’re in sales and visiting a customer site and you’ve invited other subject matter experts to join a Cisco WebEx online meeting, but you’re not able to get on the customer’s network to start the meeting. You instead grab your iPhone to simply start a meeting and pass the presentation control to the meeting leader. I would bet that the customers would be impressed that you could start and join WebEx meeting even on an iPhone. It’s situations like these that put Cisco WebEx Meeting Center on the iPhone into the top spot for “Best of Show” at MacWorld and The 2009 E-tech Award at CTIA. by LeAnne Schrotzberger, public releations manager, Cisco Corporate Communications
