One of the great features of Cisco Webex Meetings is high-quality audio/video that is integrated with the meeting experience. There are many great ways to connect to Webex Meetings – from your desk landline, mobile phone, PC or video device. But if it’s a land or mobile line, you are going through the public switched telephone network (PSTN). And, for many companies, the PSTN audio portion of conferencing can be very costly.

To help manage this, Cisco has just expanded PSTN audio global coverage for Webex Meetings by additional 11 countries to, now, 56. We’ve included these new countries within the Webex Meetings Flex plan offer at no additional charge, which results in simple cost-effective, and consolidated billing for both Webex Meetings and PSTN audio (an additional nine toll dial-in countries are offered a la carte).

It also means Webex Meetings users get even more for their money – unlimited toll dial-in coverage for these 56 countries at the same Flex plan price as before.

Also offered separately from the Webex Meetings Flex plan, PSTN toll-free dial-in is available in 85 countries.

You can further reduce your PSTN costs by keeping your audio usage to IP audio (or on-network) to lower your total meetings TCO. This can be done by encouraging Webex Meetings users to adopt in-app computer or mobile VoIP participant join, Cisco video devices, or by deploying Webex Edge Audio to leverage PSTN cost savings for on-net participants.

New changes to Webex Meetings Audio coverage include:

  • Webex PSTN Toll Dial-In country coverage, included within Webex Meetings offer at no additional cost, will expand to include an additional 11 countries to now 56: Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Cyprus, El Salvador, Georgia, Malta, Peru, Puerto Rico, Romania, Turkey, and Ukraine.
  • Webex PSTN Premium Toll Dial-in country coverage, available through our usage-based Committed Audio offer, will expand to an additional nine countries to now 65: China, Indonesia, Kenya, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
  • Webex PSTN Toll-Free Dial-in country coverage, available through our usage-based Committed Audio offer, will expand to an additional 14 countries: Bahamas, Belize, Botswana, Brunei, Honduras, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Oman, Paraguay, Peru, Serbia, Trinidad & Tobago, and Turks and Caicos.
