A Workplace as Flexible as the Network

July 9, 2012 - 0 Comments

Three trends are defining the enterprise workforce today: mobility, collaboration, and the BYOD movement, where employees connect the device of their choice to the enterprise network.  Smart companies are finding ways to embrace these trends for improved productivity, a more satisfied workforce, and lower costs.

In Cisco IT, we’ve developed an office environment called the Cisco Connected Workplace that is purpose-built to support these trends. It’s a highly collaborative, wireless environment that joins Cisco technology with innovation from our facilities organization to give our employees the flexibility to work in the way suits their personal needs and preferences. Employees can move freely from one device to another or from one work area to another, with seamless access to the enterprise network.

We’re measuring tremendous ROI for the Cisco Connected Workplace. Not only have we improved the overall work experience and increased employee productivity, we’re doing it for a lower price tag than the costs associated with a traditional cubicle environment — and improving our energy efficiency, too.

This innovative approach to workplace design is a win for employees, facilities, and IT organizations. I encourage you to learn more. Click here to see my video on the Cisco Connected Workplace.
