Joe Antantis is a Solutions Architect at Cisco Advanced Services Global Data Center Networking Practice. Joe is a member of the UCA Advanced Services team, which is responsible for providing architectural support and conveying the value propositions and use cases for the UCS platform and its role in virtualization, unified I/O, and data center consolidation.

Joe has been involved with UCS and Nexus 1000v since beta testing and proof of concept engagements to help position UCS in customer internal cloud environments. Joe has also been assisting with the development of training programs for new team members on the technology, while also providing a source for networking expertise to the team.

Joe has been in the role of lead architect on major service provider and enterprise engagements with a focus on cloud and virtualized multi tenant environments using Vblock, Flexpod, and VMDC reference architectures for the past two years.

Professional Experience:

Prior to joining Cisco in 2008, Joe had 15 years of experience as a network engineer, with the past 10 certified as a routing and switching CCIE working with Cisco gold partners in a consulting and service delivery role. Joe’s primary role has been one of subject matter expert for Cisco routing, switching, and security products and applying them to meet customer needs with well defined scopes of work and project methodologies.

As a consultant he was responsible for all presales, implementation, and post sales support for major national accounts, including homeland security airport networks and a global satellite ISP. This role covered all project phases from scope of work development, configuration and implementation, to documentation and post sales support. Joe was also responsible for development of documentation templates for network assessments, vmware consolidation engagements, and project run books.

Joe spent 3 years in an enterprise environment at JPMorgan Chase working in the top internal troubleshooting group responsible for problem resolutions and documentation on the global JPMC network. Over the past 15 years Joe has developed strong commitment to project methodologies and Cisco based solutions that have proven successful in service delivery and meeting customer needs.
