Ivan Nikolaev

Ivan Nikolaev is a researcher at Cisco Systems since November 2012. He is a member of Cognitive Analytics group. His research is focused on detecting and classifying malware and other security threats in network traffic. To that end he uses big data technologies, machine learning techniques and designs his own algorithms for malware detection. Ivan has several scientific publications and patents in the field of network security.

Ivan Nikolaev graduated from Czech Technical University in Prague, with a Master’s in Cybernetics. During his study he worked at the aa4cc laboratory at the Faculty of Electrotechnical Engineering where he participated on different projects on distributed manipulation using magnetic and dielectrophoretic forces.
