Bobette Sylvester McCarroll

Assistant Superintendent for Business Support Services at Mesa Public Schools

Bobette Sylvester-McCarroll joined Mesa Public Schools in July, 2011 as the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Support Services. In this capacity, she directs a host of financial and business activities ranging from budget development, facilities construction and maintenance, payroll, accounts receivable and payable to technology services, student transportation, food services, purchasing and the materiel distribution center. She's was previously noted in the Arizona Republic Newspaper’s Top Newsmakers in Mesa in 2012 for her direction of a diverse 37 member facilities planning committee as part of the bond planning and approval process. Bobette currently serves as the President of the Arizona Schools Risk Retention Trust. Previously she has served on the Board of the Arizona Association of School Business Officials as the Past President, and was formerly on the Board for the Payson Regional Medical Center. In addition she has served as a member of the School Finance Advisory Committee for the Arizona Auditor General’s Office and on an advisory committee for the Governor’s Office on school finance. Prior to working 16 years as the Assistant Superintendent for Business Services for Payson Unified School District, she worked in the valley as a financial analyst for a private sector firm. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting for Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant
