Customer Success and Renewals Operations
As Vice President, Customer Success and Renewals Operations, Andy Starr leads a company-wide operational strategy to transform the post-sale adoption and renewals experience for Cisco, its partners and customers.
Andy is focused on empowering customers and partners by simplifying, digitizing and automating adoption and renewals processes. Using the power of data and analytics, he and his team deliver actionable insights that drive business outcomes for Cisco customers and grow profit and revenue for Cisco partners. Quality analytics, and how customers measure their experiences with Cisco, becomes paramount in a customer success and consumption-based world. Andy and team are transforming the way we look at customer success and quality to help Cisco and its partners create customers for life.
A 22-year veteran of Cisco, Andy has successfully managed a number of the IT and operational challenges that emerged as the company grew to 100 times its size through his tenure. During this time, he has held a wide-range of leadership roles in areas including operations, sales, IT and WebEx. Andy was the order management lead for the original ERP implementation in 1995, and was a pioneering force for Cisco's commerce, back office and systems integration strategies. Additionally, he led global IT teams in Supply Chain, Services and Sales. At WebEx, he was VP and CIO, and oversaw teams that provided all internal IT and business transactional services for WebEx’s Software as a Service (SaaS) business model.
Andy’s mix of business and IT skills make it possible for his teams to deliver end-to-end business systems that fuel growth, improve productivity and customer experience, and enable new business models.
With a bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Andy earned an MBA from Santa Clara University and also holds an APICS certification in Production and Inventory Management.
He lives in Palo Alto with his wife and two children, and enjoys skiing, mountain biking and being his children’s biggest fan.
