Meg Taylor

Community Relations Manager

Meg North Taylor, a long-time communications and media professional, is community relations manager at Cisco, where she manages programs and communications on the company's involvement in improving education, addressing basic human needs such as food and shelter, and in driving economic development. She has worked for Cisco's corporate communications group since 2004.

In addition to her work for Cisco, Taylor is the founder and volunteer executive director of Lending Promise, a nonprofit organization that provides microcredit (small loans) and related training to poor mothers in Nepal and India. With the loans, the women form their own farming, handicrafts and other businesses to improve their income. As a result, they invest in their children's education, affording better futures for themselves and their communities.

Taylor is also a member of the advisory board for Social Planet, a networking site for socially conscious people across the globe, and for Nari Jagriti (Women Arise), the Indian arm of Lending Promise.
