Cisco Partner Summit 2010 Day One -Partners Encouraged to Make Bold Moves
As expected, the action didn’t stop (but the rain did) today at Cisco Partner Summit 2010. News cycled from the SF Moscone Convention Center and partners seemed to like what they heard. The opening of the event was a virtual Keith Goodwin WW SVP on a high-speed bicycle traveling the globe on a journey exploring new ways to help channel partners accelerate. A big focus of Cisco Partner Summit is about enabling partners to grow and do things differently than what’s been the “norm” to date…
Cisco is encouraging partners to be bold and try new approaches to business models, opportunities and moving up to the business conversations everyone needs to have today to drive growth. And they are offering lots of initiatives to help partners do just that.
Cisco announced a series of initiatives designed to help the company’s global community of channel partners evolve their business models. They included three key things; a partner incentive program to encourage early engagement with Cisco, a collaborative partner-to-partner sales model to help partners respond to the globalization of business, and the evolution of Cisco specializations from individual technologies to architectures. http://newsroom.cisco.com/dlls/2010/prod_042710b.html
