Cisco announces Collaboration for Events

July 19, 2010 - 1 Comment

What is it?  Cisco Collaboration for Events is a new way of approaching trade shows and conferences. The solution provides customizable options for using collaboration and business video technologies like Web conferencing, telepresence, digital signage and enterprise social software to expand an event’s reach beyond the physical limitation of an event venue.  With the solution customers can:

  • Extend the reach of an event through remote presenters and remote attendees
  • Enrich participant experience through participant conversation and with interactive digital signage
  • Increase and measure ROI through video analytics, decrease carbon emissions, increased value of engagements, and planning efficiency

Who is using it?  Fortune magazine and ExCel London, a host site for the 2012 Olympic Games, are two customers focused on using collaboration and business video technologies to bring about events of the future.

Feedback?  What types of in-person or virtual events have you participated that leveraged collaboration technologies?  What technologies help to improve your experience?
