Usually at shows like Interop Las Vegas 2013, attendees wander around the show floor looking at all the new products that are coming out from vendors. Now it is always exciting to see the latest and greatest technology coming out, but very often there is so much information to consume it is difficult to envision how these new products will solve problems that IT organizations are facing today.

Cisco is taking a different approach at Interop this year. In the Cisco booth there are a number of demo stations including the traditional new product demos, ask the experts stations, trivia games and many more, but in addition there are two unique demos the “Your NOC Your Way” Demo and the Unified Access Experience Demo that take a solution perspective to addressing top IT concerns.

1. The “Your NOC Your Way” Demo

This unique demo focuses on how Cisco solutions can aid in addressing the top concerns of network operations managers. Based on the results of focus groups that included hundreds of network management professionals Cisco has developed a real life NOC that looks at these concerns that include:

  • Reducing end-user help desk calls and delivering a better user satisfaction
  • Effectively deploying new network technology on time and on budget to reduce operational expenses
  • Ensuring that security and compliance regulations are met
  • Enabling new business services

This demo walks you through how these concerns can be addressed for mobility and cloud services which were indicated as the top technology transitions IT is facing today.

2. The Cisco Unified Access Experience Demo

Earlier this year Cisco announced the third phase of the Unified Access story at Cisco Live! London and the One Policy, One Management, One Network story was cemented as The Intelligent platform for the connected world. IT can now simplify the network infrastructure, centralize security policy and control and manage the wired and wireless network from a single view.

This new approach unifies the network to deliver functionality that an overlay wired and wireless network cannot provide. The Unified Access experience Demo walks the audience through a journey that shows how One Policy, One Management and One Network can improve user experience, simplify operations and enable better connected experiences on both the wired and wireless network.

So if you are at Interop and want to understand how to more effectively solve problems with a solution approach visit us at booth #1327.
