NY Times News in Video

January 13, 2010 at 12:00 pm PST

Here an interesting web interface for perusing video: We’re currently running an interesting overlay on the New York Times home page which shows some of the day’s main stories in video.  To see it, click on this banner below on the US edition of the New York Times:

When you click on the banner on the Times, an interactive layer of multiple video panes pops up.  I really like the slick interaction and when you mouse over any of the panes they enlarge and start playing.  Fun and effortless!

Much of my video consumption these days is over the ‘net, and I think this is an interesting way to peruse it.

Try it at NYTimes.com.

  2. That is a really good concept. -I expect this to migrate from ads through to standard web displays.

  3. Another proof that video is taking over the web, hope bandwidth can follow the demand increase.
