MacWorld Kudos to the Cisco WebEx Team

I'm sure you'll be reading more about this, but I wanted to give a small shoutout to the Cisco WebEx team for their MacWorld Best of Show award (for the new Cisco WebEx Meeting Center iPhone app, which you can download via the iPhone App Store now.)

"Using Cisco's WebEx technology, businesses can share documents, make presentations, and collaborate with employees—or customers—around the world," says MacWorld. Kudos to the WebEx web design team, who helped with some of the experience (the worlds of web and phone sure are merging quickly!)

See the Cisco's Collaboration blog and the MacWorld site for more.

When I tried to install this app you get a error and the great response from tech support “Thank you for your email. The global availability is planned for end of
February’ 09. Thus a patch will be applied on the WebEx URL to make this
application work on iPhone and this is expected by the end of February’
09.”

May I suggest you update the information on the Itunes Apps Store to reflect the information you have given me so not to disappoint other customers.

Paul, I will pass this on to the WebEx team.  Thanks for your info and apologies for the lack of explicitness on the web site!

That looks like a great app. Will there be a version available for other phones like blackberry?

Personally, I use Showdocument for online teaching and web conferencing. I’m not saying these programs aren’t good,
But I think a web-based application is always better, since there’s nothing to download or install.
try it at http://www.showdocument.com . -andy

I have been to that show. Especially the MAC stand was incredible. They had some shows where they published them through projector on the wall.

Web Designer - Yes there are plans for bringing this application to other smartphones.  There was an announcement to add this to Blackberry, Nokia, and Samsung:
