With the spirit of innovation ingrained in both company’s DNA, the merger of Tandberg and Cisco’s video businesses in 2010 proved to be a major win for the industry and for the customer. Many of us will take a moment today -- or even the entire day -- to let the special women in our lives know how much they mean to us. This appreciation will likely come in the form of gifts or flowers, while others will simply send a card or make a phone call. But imagine how much more it would mean to that special lady who may not be able to spend the day with you in person to connect with you over video and see your smiling face.
As a mother of two, I find myself looking forward to this day every year. Why? This is the day where mothers from around the country get their much due recognition. It is a day where putting a personal touch on your communication is not only appreciated but deserved. Don’t believe me? These celebrities know what I’m talking about. They took the time to tell the world how their moms inspired them with a video message. How awesome is that?
I agree with this approach to Mother’s Day – use video! Forget a greeting card or phone call -- not to say those aren’t better than completely forgetting -- but it’s time to add a more personal element to Mother’s Day, and that’s what video does. So, from my kids to you, Happy Mother’s Day!

TC 6.1 adds the entire portfolio of capabilities announced in the TE 6.0 software update to the C, SX, MX and Profile Series. These features include message waiting indicator, shared line support, single number reach and enhanced conferencing, which are enabled by the Cisco Unified Call Manager 8.6.2 release. This means Cisco TelePresence users will have a consistent experience and access to a broader set of capabilities, including all features in CUCM, across the entire Cisco TelePresence product line, from multipurpose to personal units.
