Thanks for your comments Richard. I actually agree that to be ready to deploy and follow the steps I suggested, a company actually needs to understand clearly the points you outlined above, and then, once they have good answers for all those points, they then can proceed to deploy… and based on our experience, the steps I offered seem to lead to success. Thanks for sharing your perspective. Much appreciated.

hi Robert, sorry, I don’t agree that these would be the 5 steps to success. I’d would propose that success is more likely if you, 1 – define your business objectives, 2 – determine your requirements, 3 – understand the market, 4 – get hands on experience, 5 – complete a competitive selection process. These alternatives are: a – actually are steps – you finish one, then move to the next in logical order; b – driven by business objectives, as after all technology is a business enabler, not a result in itself; c – may, or may not, capture the suggestions you provide.
