Steve Jobs once said, “Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.”

As leaders in telepresence innovation, we have paved the way for organizations around the world to improve the way they communicate through video. Our industry-leading portfolio is built on a foundation of interoperability and great experiences, enabling others to create new, compelling ways to collaborate over video.

Let’s explore a few recent examples:

  • Video Collaboration Robots: Renowned for its advanced technologies, iRobot used the Cisco TelePresence EX60 personal system to create an industry-first self-navigating video collaboration robot. Named iRobot AVA 500, this new device is powered by a standards-based, high-definition Cisco video system atop an autonomous, intelligent robotics platform unlike any other on the market.
  • Video Walls: Last month,Prysm Inc. announced the launch of two new collaboration video wall solutions. Utilizing Cisco TelePresence codec and camera technologies, Prysm is delivering a new collaboration experience that can flexibly blend video and content on screens of up to 190”.
  • Video in Education: Using Cisco codecs, Avizia will introduce a new telepresence solution for the education market that lets users easily control large video conference rooms and the devices in them with an intuitive iPad app.

As you can see, there’s a lot of innovation that can be discovered when you build from a solid foundation of technology. We are eager to see how the use of our video collaboration technologies fosters innovation by continuing to push the barriers of traditional communication!
