You’ve heard about them, maybe you’ve even tried them: online meetings, video conferences, WebEx.
It’s a different (and we think better) way to have a meeting. You have to talk; it’s an important part of business. But you aren’t limited to just the telephone. Try a free online meeting with WebEx and see if it doesn’t make doing business easier, faster and a bit more fun.
1. WebEx Mobile It’s free! You can download the app and join someone else’s meeting with just a click. If you get the free trial or your own account, you can host meetings too. Meet on your mobile and you can get work done from anywhere.
2. WebEx Recordings Sure you can record a teleconference, but there still aren’t any pictures. Record your WebEx and capture the screen sharing so you can see what you were talking about. You don’t have to get lost taking notes during the meeting, you can listen and participate and go back to the recording to capture the ideas. Or give the recording to team members who couldn’t make it and they can see and hear what they missed.
3. WebEx Channels There’s a wealth of professional -- and interesting -- information at WebEx Channels: our content publishing arm of WebEx where you can publish your public WebEx information too! See Guy Kawasaki talk about social media strategy or Brian Dickenson at Mt Everest. Send us your product demos or compelling sales presos and use the WebEx Network as another part of our marketing strategy.
Thank you Tommy Tian (@tommytian) for the Tweet and the good news! He spotted the honor and tweeted the photo below! We are thrilled to have made the list and it’s a great way to wrap-up the year. If you don’t already have the free WebEx Mobile app, this page provides links to the different versions.
That’s right; it’s absolutely free and allows you to join meetings from your device as long as you can get to the Internet. You’ll need a WebEx account to host a mobile meeting, but you can get one for as low as $19.99/month.
When does a new business relationship need to move from being a virtual (online) experience to a physical (in-person) experience? That question was a topic of discussion with a couple of friends, over a beer after a recent TechHub event. Moreover, I have been pondering this issue since I participated in the pilot of an International Investment Forum.
How much of our business conversations need to be face-to-face? With all the electronic communication options that are at our disposal today, does it really matter?
Following the economic turbulence of the “Great Recession,” Toyota felt the need to improve its revenue structures. These earnings are directly linked to advanced work performed by knowledge workers in areas such as research and development on new cars, production, and sales. Toyota also wanted to shorten its product time-to-market to maintain its competitive market lead. The firm turned to the Cisco Internet Business Solutions Group (IBSG) to help Toyota determine where improvements could be made and how to implement them.
Many businesses need to spend any excess budget on business items as the calendar year comes to a close. The Small Business Administration (SBA) is actually holding an online webinar to help businesses determine which choices to make before the end of the month.
Business owners face decisions in the next two weeks that could impact their 2011 income tax bill and their choices may depend on their outlook for the year ahead.
In the final weeks of the year, business owners frequently move to lower their tax burden by taking on debt — buying equipment, vehicles or office supplies — and delaying income until the next tax year. This year, those decisions may be a little more complicated depending on how much of an economic recovery the business owner expects in 2012, said Randy Wright, tax partner with Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Co. in Fort Myers. Even though the SBA is using our competitor for their online meeting, they make the point: online meetings are a valuable business tool especially if you are looking to do business in new ways in 2012.
