Before I get into any thoughts or observations from PEX2011, I want to say THANK YOU to all the Cisco partners that attended our bootcamp on Monday. It was an all-day event, the day after the Super Bowl, and you turned out in force throughout the day. The bootcamp Q&A sessions and subsequent discussions at the Appreciation Party and within our booth were very insightful. Keep giving us feedback on how we can help drive your business into new opportunities in 2011.
We covered a variety of topics (UCS+VMware, Private Cloud, Nexus 1000v, VDI, VXI and Virtualized Multi-Tenant network design) and we’ll work on getting many of those presentations posted online soon.
Within the event, several key themes were prominent throughout the week: Read More »

While there’s a ton of coverage of Cisco Live London this week, including Daily Blogger TechMinute (Day 1, Day 2) with coverage from Didier and Lisa, the Cisco Data Center goodness for February doesn’t end this week.
As a Diamond Sponsor, we’ll be in full force at VMware Partner Exchange 2011 (Orlando, FL) next week. If you’re a Cisco partner at the event, we really want to talk to you about some of the amazing things we’re doing around server virtualization, I/O virtualization, network virtualization, virtualized security, virtualized application acceleration, virtual desktops (VDI) and collaboration (VXI), and fabric consolidation. Published this week: this new whitepaper discusses the joint solution built on Cisco UCS, Citrix XenDesktop, and Atlantis ILIO - designed to deliver stateless VDI desktops with a shared master disk implementation, providing storage IOPS offload, reduced up-front CAPEX, and increased desktop/application performance. The Atlantis ILIO solution has been tested for interoperability and scalability with the Cisco UCS and Citrix XenDesktop Validated Design (CVD), to deliver faster desktop boot times, logon, antivirus scanning and overall desktop performance. The whitepaper is available for download here
