On November 20,2010, Cisco launched the Cisco ūmi Brings YOU Home for the Holidays Photo Contest where we asked you to submit a photo of who you wish you could see fo r the holidays along with a small caption of why.
We had over 1000 photo submissions and over 10,000 votes on the photos because of your support! We are very excited to announce the winners here and I personally wanted to congratulate the winners on submitting such touching
Last week, I received an early Christmas present! Geek Squad came to set-up my Cisco ūmi at my condo and they were literally in and out in less than 30 minutes!
They walked me through set-up and I already immediately knew what my favorite feature was going to be….”Record a video.” Immediately after they left, I started taping personal video messages and sharing them with my friends via email.
Later that evening, my girlfriend and I were going out to dinner and right when she walked in the door I asked her to tape a personal video message with me so we could play it back later. She came over the next day and we played it back and laughed at ourselves and remembered how much fun we had the night before.
Each day for 2 weeks until December 10, 2010, Ryan revealed a new prize from his “Seacrest’s Holiday Must Haves” list, for another chance to win!
Stay tuned to hear the results of the winners and also check out this tweet @RyanSeacrest posted today!
Thank you to Alisa for contributing the story below.
We have a 14 month old daughter and while her Grandpa was really busy at work, we used the ūmi system to stay connected and allow Grandpa to keep track of her growth progress.
The high definition camera allowed us to zoom in and show her first tooth. Our daughter was also aware of his presence in the room and waved. We could actually tell her Grandpa was on the phone, and she would crawl to the living room and look to the TV to see if he was there!
Being directly attached to our television, we were able to be online at all times and made it easy to make and answer calls.
